Gandy Seeder 1 by panfah Gandy Seeder 1 by panfah
Shot on my parents' farm in Minnesota, the seed bin from a model 901 "Gandy" seeder (your guess is as good as mine on what decade, I'm wagering the 1950s). What intrigued me about this is that you can see how the green paint is peeling back to reveal the red base and yellow "Gandy" logo. Somebody was probably embarrassed that this wasn't a John Deere and sought to hide their shame by covering everything over.

This seeder hasn't moved since my father bought it ... 20 years ago. Trees of a significant diameter are growing up through it.

If trees are growing up through it, does that mean that it has fulfilled it's purpose?
Love the peeling paint, this one definitely fits ruin.
Great set.
