Seeking employment. No, I'm not joking.
Question: does anybody still reading this journal/medium have a job opening that might consider me?
Background: I hold an undergrad degree (bachelor's) in Network Communications and Management. I have two and a half years of formal "leadership" (management) experience in the networking industry (2011 to present), with an added year (2010 to 2011) of holding a "lead engineer" title before that. I was a senior network engineer from 2005 to 2010. I speak Juniper ScreenOS as well as Juniper Junos and the industry-standard Cisco IOS. I worked daily in routing and switching, BGP, security and architecture.
Other useful data: I would like to try and retain a position in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago. Lisle, Downers Grove, Oak Brook, Addison, that vicinity. A management position is not a requirement. I'd be happy to be back in the technology if that's what was asked of me. All my certifications have lapsed but I have a plan to get back on board with my Juniper certs. I am currently managing a team of 11 colleagues (two senior engineers, two associate engineers, seven mid-level engineers). Travel is negotiable. Domestic partner benefits would be a requirement.
I'm not sure what else I can say here. Questions? Ask 'em. Please.
